History, it seems does repeat itself whether or not one pays attention. Shows I enjoy tend to get canceled and the planned demise of Stargate Atlantis is yet another example of this sad trend. Apparently officialdom prefers to pander to a duller audience for the programme they are swapping in will feature a much younger cast (at least in terms of characters if not actors) and stupider stories. Or so the rumored premise leads me to believe.

All I can say about this is thank goodness for fanfiction and the internet where such can be posted and read!

In astronomy we call the first time we get real data back from a telescope, "First Light." Well, about a year ago I created this journal and promptly forgot about it.

I'm back.

It's a journal so I can babble all I want and this is "Second Light."

First, I want to announce a new beadweaving stitch that I have invented. It is a chain link stitch I have named (unsurprisingly) "Vener Chain Stitch" after myself.

This is my prototype piece, a sweet little bracelet in red and salmony pink. It features a gold colored vintage box clasp. It's for sale at my Etsy shop, Silver Dragon Creations. It isn't up at my regular website yet, but will be soon, along with a choker made in the same stitch. In a way, this is my first announcement but not exactly an official announcement (I want to send out some PR for that!).

So, what else will I be posting here? Not sure yet. Maybe some fan fiction? And other babblings. I surely do hope we can edit these posts! Hahahaha

Here I am on Live Journal. I have so much presnece on the internat it's insane. But this one is for fun mostly rather than for my art mostly. Hope to find time to personalize my journal but that may not be for a while. (Lots of black and lots of color.)
